Important information

Assure the correct VAKA version prior to installation.

If the B27-R is about to be installed in a new- or existing system, it has to run at least version 3.87.0024 or VAKA Generation 4 Hotfix 3. See https://info.axema.se?version, or scan the QR-code for information around upgrading.

Please note the following differences between the B27-R and the B28:

  • B27-R has a built in interface for interacting with external intrusion system(no need for C20).
  • The B27-R misses 2 inputs with the consequence that the following functions can't be configured:
    • Inactivate reading
    • UPS status
    • Abort unlocked time
    • Free access
    • Increased security level
    • Anti PassBack (APB)- neutrialization.
  • The B27-R can't follow the statuses for Free access and Increased security.
  • The electrical characteristics for B27-R differs compared to the B28:
    • The B27-R has higher current consumption (check when there are requirements for long battery backup time).
    • When powered by PoE, the B27-R outputs 12/24V (+ and -) on one pair of connectors (the B28 outputs 12/24V on two pairs)
    • The B27-R is differently equipped, i.e. CPU and memory circuits

  • The B27-R can't manage activation of different relays when identifying at reader A or reader B.
