Since VAKA Generation 4 there has been the option to send notifications of events by email, so-called VAKA Notifications.

This function requires that:
- A Domain Controller B60 is present in the system.
- An email account is available for use.
- Events are grouped into channels.
- Channel(s) is/are linked to role(s).
- The user is linked to a role for event notification.
- The required doors have the setting for sending events by email.

The sections provide step-by-step instructions for configuration. The sections also contain examples where:
- The System Administrator role is set to have events regarding forced and held open doors sent via event channel 2.
- The Installer role is set to have events regarding operations-related system information sent via event channel 3.
