Smart Call and incoming calls

Smart Call and incoming calls are used to unlock the door by calling the entry phone. Smart Call and incoming calls work only for phone numbers specified for persons.

Smart Calls

Smart Call is a function that allows users to open a door, port or gate simply by calling the VAKA system from their phone. Using the function does not incur any connection or call charges. Note that the function allows the opening of one predetermined door for each user (telephone number).

  1. Click the Settings tab in the VAKA software.
  2. Click Entry Phone and select the tab for the domain to be configured.
  3. Activate Incoming calls and select Known number. Open associated doors (...) for the periods when Smart Calls shall be enabled.

Smart Call opens doors that are part of the caller’s location.

Smart Call can only identify phone numbers linked to persons, not organisation groups.

Connect a call (known number)

The function is used to connect calls to the entry phone, and the option is then given to open the door. It requires the phone number to be known.

  1. Click the Settings tab in the VAKA software.
  2. Click Entry Phone and select the tab for the domain to be configured.
  3. Activate Incoming calls and select Known number. DTMF button (...) for the periods when the function is activated.
  4. In Doors -> Entry Phone-> Incoming calls, enter when the function can be used. The preset button for remote opening is [5].

Connect call (all numbers)

The function is used to connect calls to the entry phone, which then allows the door to be opened using a code (group code or personal code).

  1. Click the Settings tab in the VAKA software.
  2. Click Entry Phone and select the tab for the domain to be configured.
  3. Activate Incoming calls and select All numbers: (...) for the periods you want the function activated.
  4. In Doors -> Entry Phone-> Incoming calls, enter when the phone can be used to open doors using group or personal codes.
