Logging in to the booking portal
Reservations can be made through the information- and booking panel and via a browser if the system is connected to the internet.
The user must be logged in to the booking portal to make reservations.
Logging in to the information- and booking panel is done by presenting the user’s access tag to the panel reader.
Logging in online is done by navigating to the VAKA system and entering either the access tag ID and associated PIN code or e-mail address and password. Other combinations are not permitted.
- The access tag ID is often engraved on the tag, otherwise the identity must be provided by a system administrator.
- Depending on the current system configuration, the PIN code is set by either the system administrator or the user.
- PIN codes set by a system administrator must be provided by the administrator. A user cannot change a PIN code set by a system administrator.
- If the user sets their PIN code, they can do this at any VAKA reader with a keypad.
- A user’s e-mail address is initially set by a system administrator. The user can then log in and change their e-mail address.
- Before the first log-in, the user must Request a new password* in the booking portal according to the instructions here.
When logged in, the user can change their existing password.
*This requires the user to have an e-mail address in VAKA.
