Configure VAKA
Before configuring in VAKA, the VAKA system must be connected to VAKA Online . For configuration, VAKA Admin is used.
Depending on the integration, VAKA is prepared using the relevant section(s) below. After completing the preparations, a system account should be created.
Configure doors
Doors that are to be remotely controlled must be configured to allow control from an external system.
- Select the Doors view.
- For each door to be controlled remotely, click the desired door, select Advanced and check Allow external opening under External door control .
- Click Save to save the changes.
Access group for door control
An access group needs to be created for door control by the external system. This specifies the doors the external system should have access to, during what time (according to the selected time schedule) and which functions should be linked to the selected doors (for example, door opener).
- Select the Access groups view and click the (+) symbol.
- Enter name , time schedule , doors and desired functions.
- Click Save
The section describes creating an access group in VAKA for an external application that will handle bookings.
These preparations are necessary before creating a system account for the external application.
- Select the Access groups view and click the (+) symbol.
- Enter name , schedule and desired features.
- Under the Booking tab, select the booking objects that should be included in the authorization group.
- Click Save.
Create system account
A system account in VAKA represents an external system (app) and controls which functions and rights the external system can use.
To keep permissions separate and ensure that an external system does not receive more permissions than required, it is recommended to create a separate system account per external system. This also gives you a clear overview of which external parties have access to the VAKA system, as well as the ability to manage each individual party's permissions without affecting any other system account.
- Click settings (the cogwheel) at the top right and select External systems .
- Click the (+) symbol to add system account.
- Enter the system account name. Choose a name that is easy to relate to, such as the name of the external party.
- Under System permissions, select the functions that the system account should have access to.
- Under Access groups, select the access group(s) intended for the system account.
- Click Save to finish saving the settings.
