Connection of VAKA system

Enable VAKA Admin

Before a VAKA system can be connected to VAKA Online, the system requirements for VAKA Online must be met. All management of VAKA Online is done in VAKA Admin, which means that VAKA Admin must be activated in the system (this is done in VAKA PC client under Settings -> System -> Applications ).

Check domain settings

In order for each domain controller to be able to connect to VAKA Online, it needs to be ensured that the domain controllers' network settings are correct to allow internet access:

  1. Log in to the Java/PC client with installer rights
  2. Navigate to Settings -> Domain Settings .
  3. Check that WAN is enabled and that other network settings are correct.
  4. If DHCP is not enabled for the WAN interface, ensure that the Gateway and DNS server addresses are correct.

Connection to VAKA Online

  1. Log in to VAKA Admin as an installer, system administrator or user with the right "Change system settings" ( System -> Change system settings ).
  2. Click settings (the cogwheel) at the top right.
  3. Select the VAKA Online option
  4. In the VAKA Online dialogue, select I have an account and want to continue connecting option.
  5. Click Connect .
  6. In the dialogue, a verification code and link to VAKA Online is displayed.
  7. Click the link to get to the connection portal.
  8. Log in to the connection portal and then follow the instructions.
