About External inputs

A66, and B28 have programmable inputs for various premises of for global functions in Axema VAKA. The function is enabled on closure of the input.

B28

External input Function
Inhibit reading External input 1 controls reader A and external input 2 controls reader B.
(Open input = reader not enabled)
Free access This function unlocks all doors that are enabled for free access. See below.
UPS-status This function generates the Mains - failure event when contact is open. Mains - recovered on closure.
Abort unlocked time The function prematurely interrupts the unlock time following a valid access. Leave unlocked shall not be used for doors with a security level Unlocked. Closure of the input activates the function.
Increased security This function changes the security level to a lowest level for all doors in the and the domain where the function is activated. See below. Closure of the input will also lock unlocked bistable doors in the domain, even if the doors do not employ enhanced security.

Door contact
Deactivate reading This function deactivates reading access tags, or cards and radio keys by the reader. (When the entrance is short-circuited then reading is activated)

Increased security

  1. Click the Settings tab and select System.
  2. Select Activate increased security ans set lowest security level.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Repeat for all the doors you want to use increased security.
    1. Click the Doors tab and double-click the door to be configured.
    2. Click the Advanced tab and select Allow increased security.
    3. Click Save.
  5. Repeat for all the doors you want increased security for.
    1. Click the Doors tab and double-click the door to be configured.
    2. Click the Devices tab and select Increased security under an External input.
    3. Click Save.

Remember: Readers with no keypad cannot allow access in ‘Increased security level’ when a keypad is used, such as ‘Card + PIN.’

Free access

  1. Repeat for all the doors you want free access for.
    1. Click the Doors tab and double-click the door to be configured.
    2. Click the Advanced tab and select Allow free access.
    3. Click Save.
  2. Repeat for all the doors from which free access shall be activated.
    1. Click the Doors tab and double-click the door to be configured.
    2. Click the Devices tab and select Free access under an External input.
    3. Click Save.
