- Updating must be carried out by an installer with knowledge of the particular VAKA system.

- Updating must not be done over the internet.

- Before upgrading to a new VAKA version, it is important to ensure compatibility with third-party integrated solutions * . Examples of such solutions are Renz mail boxes and Amido Alliera. To avoid operational disturbances, check with respective party that applicable versions are compatible.

- After updating, it can take up to 45 minutes before the system is fully operational.

- Before upgrading make sure the system security is set to default level (Settings->System->Security).

What is new?

  • After installation of the modules C10 or C11, the reader to automatically switch to presenting name list in its display.
  • The voice message from the door entry phone no longer contains the node number. The message is from 3.8x "Call from door".
  • Phone numbers for door entry phone can now be up to 16 digits long.
  • The number of locations is increased from 100 to 200.

    • If there is at least one B60 in the system

    • In order to ease administration of information in info panels, a concept of "Playlists" has been introduced.
    • New "Reference-id" field for organisation groups. The field is to be used for the property owner's "own" apartment number and is the unique identifier to be used for sorting in the person view and for integrations, for example Amido (Alliera) and Renz.
    • Customizable person view with the possibility select different identifiers for organisation groups. It's possible to select one or more of "The name of the organisation group", "Reference-id" and "Location".

Update

If door entry phone is used
  • Persons that should be possible to call from the door entry phone must belong to an organisational group with the location defined.
If reservation ids used
  • Remove the reservations of the organisational groups before they are assigned to a location.
  • Booking objects that have intervals with different start and/or end times (For example 07:00-10:00 on weekdays and 09:00-12:00 on weekends ) will not be able to be changed in VAKA before all intervals have the same start and stop time.
